DOTS-C seven-cell recessed housing in black finish — seven fixed SMD pools from one shallow 50mm body, LC-SP03 family.
DOTS-C Multi-Cell Downlight
DOTS-C series · 8-14W · 110lm/W · Ra80/Ra90 · 15/24/36° multi-cell
The DOTS-C is a shallow recessed multi-cell downlight for low ceilings covering 8W to 14W (880lm to 1540lm Ra80) at 110lm/W with a SMD source plus multi-cell lens in 15/24/36° narrow beams at Ra80/Ra90 — two housings share a 4/7-dot array face with UGR<13 deep cut-off in a 50mm shallow body.
This multi-cell downlight drops tight accent pools straight down while the side view reads almost unlit over gallery plinths, boutique rails and hotel bedheads where glare matters. It works as the glare-critical accent layer in a retail lighting solution with track and linear lights, while PURE-S recessed downlight family stays the general-wash alternative for standard ceilings.
- 2 housings, 4/7 cells, 8W/14W, 880/1540lm Ra80 at 110lm/W
- SMD multi-cell lens, 15°/24°/36° narrow beams at Ra80/Ra90
- UGR<13 deep cut-off, side view reads almost unlit
- 50mm shallow recessed body, 75/95mm cutouts, surface option
Explore DOTS-C Multi-Cell Family
110lm/W SMD multi-cell accent with UGR<13 for low ceilings
The shallow recessed multi-cell downlight for low ceilings splits high flux across 4 or 7 tiny SMD cells. Small apertures reach large cut-off angles in shallow cups, so galleries, boutiques and low apartments get strong accent pools without glare or tall housings.
Deep Cut-Off Anti-Glare, UGR Below 13
Small holes, large shielding angles
A single COB chip has one large glowing face, so a shielding angle above 30° needs a very deep reflector and a tall housing. DOTS-C splits the flux across 4 or 7 micro cells — each tiny aperture reaches a large cut-off angle in a shallow cup, so the fitting reads almost unlit from the side while full pools land below.
- UGR<13: deep-cell shielding for galleries, bedrooms and fitting rooms
- Side view: no bright face from across the room, only clean pools below
- Single COB contrast: same glare control without the tall deep-cup body
- Fixed cells: shielding set once, never knocked out of aim
50mm Shallow Body for Low Ceilings
Recessed 50mm high, plus no-cutout surface version
Many old buildings and modern low apartments leave almost no void above the ceiling. The recessed DOTS-C body is only 50mm high — the 4-cell needs a 75mm cutout, the 7-cell a 95mm cutout — while the surface version fixes straight onto concrete with no hole at all.
- Recessed 4-cell: Dia85xH50mm body, 75mm cutout for niches and bedheads
- Recessed 7-cell: Dia105xH50mm body, 95mm cutout for corridors and lobbies
- Surface option: Dia89/Dia109xH100mm cylinders, bracket fix, no cutout
- High flux, short body: up to 1540lm Ra80 where tall COB cups cannot fit
Clean Narrow Beams, Modern Dot Array
15/24/36° pools with soft edges
Small lenses over small SMD faces hold tight 15°/24°/36° beams with soft clean edges — no ghosting, no yellow color-over-angle rings that wide COB faces often show. The 4-dot and 7-dot array face reads as modern architectural detail, and eight cup finishes run across the whole family.
- 15° beams: tight pools for jewelry cases and small feature goods
- 24°/36° beams: counters, rails, aisles and lobby fill
- Ra80/Ra90: 110lm/W SMD at Ra80, 100lm/W stepped option at Ra90
- Dot array face: minimal round face from boutiques to hotel corridors
Why DOTS-C for Glare-Critical Accent
Multi-cell pools where single COB glares or cannot fit
Accent Pools Without the Tall Cup
Galleries, boutiques and bedrooms keep the same layout for years — they need even straight-down pools with no visible glare, not re-aiming. DOTS-C answers with 4 or 7 fixed SMD cells per housing: narrow 15° beams punch display cases while 24°/36° beams fill rails and walkways, all at 110lm/W and UGR<13. Plan the ceiling as part of a complete surface and recessed downlight family where DOTS-C holds the glare-critical zones.
Multi-cell versus single COB — pick by glare and ceiling depth — for low voids, side-view comfort and tight clean beams choose DOTS-C with its shallow 50mm body; if displays rotate weekly and adjustable spotlights must swing to follow, see the IRIS-R tiltable recessed downlight instead. Where rooms need soft general fill rather than defined pools, the GLOW-D anti-glare downlight spreads the comfort wash.
| Model | Source | Glare | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| DOTS-C SP03 | SMD 4/7 cells, 15°/24°/36° | UGR<13 | Low ceilings, glare-critical accent |
| GLOW-D DL01 | Single COB comfort reflector | UGR22 | Soft general wash, standard voids |
| MINI-D DL05 | COB pinhole 24°/36° | Deep regressed | Single small-aperture accent points |
Good to know before you order: DOTS-C cells aim straight down and never tilt, so washing wall art and following moved displays belong to the aimable IRIS-S or grille IRIS-G instead. Narrow beams leave dark edges in large rooms, so pair the accent pools with wash light for even fill, and keep the housings to dry indoor ceilings with a level fixing surface (IP20).

FAQ
Quick answers about the DOTS-C multi-cell family
Match the housing to the zone — one cell count per pool row keeps ceilings quiet.
- 4-cell (8W, 880lm Ra80) for bedheads, niches, fitting rooms and small counters.
- 7-cell (14W, 1540lm Ra80) for corridors, lobbies and long shelf aisles.
- Both housings run all three beams and all eight cup finishes.
Mark every pool on the ceiling plan before cutting — one round multi-dot face keeps mixed floors reading as one system.
Pick the beam by target size — both housings run all three beams.
- 15° for jewelry cases, watch displays and small feature goods.
- 24° for mannequins, apparel rails and standard counters.
- 36° for corridor floors, aisles and lobby fill.
Fixed cells never drift, so DOTS-C suits set-and-forget rows that adjustable fittings would only complicate.
Match the cup to the ceiling and trim — one color per order.
- White, silver and bright silver for plain and metallic ceilings.
- Black, matt black and gun black for dark wood and dark ceilings.
- Champagne gold and rose gold for boutique brass details.
Confirm the finish in the inquiry and the factory kits one color across both housings.
Pick white by merchandise — both CRI options hold color across all three whites.
- 3000K warm white for boutiques, suites and fitting mood.
- 4000K neutral white for sales floors and galleries.
- 6000K cool white for high commercial halls.
Mixed floors keep one dotted face while each zone gets its own white.
Pick by ceiling depth — both versions aim straight down and never tilt.
- Recessed 4-cell: 75mm hole, 50mm void for niches and bedheads.
- Recessed 7-cell: 95mm hole, 50mm void for corridors and lobbies.
- Surface: no hole at all, bracket fix straight onto concrete.
Old buildings and low apartments fit the 50mm body where tall COB cups cannot go.
A single COB chip has one large glowing face; DOTS-C splits the flux across tiny cells.
- Glare: small apertures reach large cut-off angles in shallow cups — UGR below 13, side view almost unlit.
- Body: full flux in a 50mm shallow housing instead of a very deep tall reflector.
- Beam: small lenses hold tight 15° pools with soft clean edges, no ghosting or yellow rings.
Choose DOTS-C for glare-critical accent; keep single-COB wash for background and see the IRIS-G grille downlight or MINI-D pinhole spotlight only when the brief changes.
Know four boundaries and the dots never disappoint.
- Fixed straight-down aim — no good for wall art, and displays that move often need aimable spotlights.
- Needs a set layout — mark every pool before cutting, misplaced holes cannot be re-aimed away.
- Accent layer, not the only source — narrow beams leave dark edges, so pair it with wash light.
- Dry indoor only — IP20 keeps it to shops, eateries and hotels, never wet zones or outdoors.
Order DOTS-C for set zones with low ceilings, and it holds those pools for years.
