Privacy & Cookies Policy
This policy explains what personal data Low Carbon Teclux Co., Ltd collects when you use www.lowcarbon-led.com, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how you can control it. It covers three things: the enquiry form you fill in, the technical records our server writes when you load a page, and the small amount of storage the site keeps in your browser.
We wrote it for business buyers — importers, distributors, lighting designers and contractors — and for anyone who sends us a question through the site. If anything here is unclear, write to us and we will explain it in plain terms.

1. Who is responsible for your data
Low Carbon Teclux Co., Ltd is the controller for the data described in this policy. Our business address is Block B, Floor 2, Building A, No. 16, Lefeng 8th Road, Maohui Industrial Zone, Henglan Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong, China.
- Email: info@lowcarbonlux.com
- Telephone: +86 158 8985 8673
We are a company registered in China and we have no branch office in the European Union. The website itself is hosted in Germany, and enquiries reach the same team that answers your RFQ — so questions about data protection go to the address above, not to a separate department. We answer within one month.
2. What we collect
2.1 What you type into the enquiry form
When you send an enquiry we receive your name, your email address and your message. If you fill in the optional boxes we also receive your country and telephone number. Along with the form we store the address of the page you were on when you submitted it, and a random session identifier described in 2.2.
Nothing in the form is hidden from you: the fields you fill in are the fields we store. We do not buy contact lists and we do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quotation.
2.2 What our server records when you load a page
The server writes a record for every page view: your IP address, your browser and device type (the user-agent string), the page you requested, the page that sent you here, and the language version of the site you were reading. We also store a random session identifier in your browser so that the pages you read in one visit are grouped into one session rather than scattered, and coarse interaction events — whether a page was scrolled, clicked, or left within a few seconds — so we can tell which product pages people actually read.
2.3 The link between the two
When you press send, the session identifier is stored with your enquiry. That is how our sales team sees which fixture pages, datasheets or articles an enquiry came from, and it is the main reason we record visits at all. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, we do not combine it with data from other websites, and it never feeds an automated decision about you.
2.4 What we do not collect
This site does not ask for payment card details, does not run advertising or cross-site tracking pixels, does not embed third-party analytics, and does not sell personal data. The only third-party code involved in serving a page is our CDN and bot protection, described in section 5. Product videos load from YouTube only after you click play, on the no-cookie domain.
3. Why we process it, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6) | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry and preparing a quotation | Form data, page address, session identifier | Art. 6(1)(b) — steps taken at your request before entering a contract; Art. 6(1)(f) — our interest in replying to business enquiries | 24 months |
| Seeing which products and pages attract interest, so we improve the range and the site | Page views, referrer, session identifier, interaction events | Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest in improving our site and product range, weighed against your rights; first-party only, no profiling | 12 months |
| Keeping the site available and free of spam and abuse | IP address, user-agent, form timing, captcha answer | Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest in security and service availability | 12 months |
| Quotation, order and invoice records | Name, company, contact details, order data | Art. 6(1)(c) — legal obligation under tax and accounting law | 10 years |
| Sending product news, only if you asked for it | Email address | Art. 6(1)(a) — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time | Until you unsubscribe |
Where we rely on legitimate interest, we have checked that the interest is real and specific — replying to a buyer, keeping the server up, knowing which datasheet was read — and that it does not override your rights. Because the records are first-party, unlinked to advertising networks and kept for a fixed short period, we consider the balance to fall on our side. You can object at any time and we will stop processing on that ground unless we can show compelling reasons that outweigh yours.
4. Cookies and storage in your browser
The site uses no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. What it does use is listed below, and all of it is either needed to deliver the page securely or is measurement of our own site.
| Name | Set by | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm, cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Tells our CDN that you are a real visitor and not a bot, and keeps the site online under load | Up to 30 minutes |
_lc_sid, _lc_sid_ts | This site | Random visit identifier that groups the pages you read in one session; attached to your enquiry if you send one | 30 minutes, renewed while you browse |
_trk, _trk_ts | This site | Set only when you arrive from one of our own email links, so we can tell which email produced a visit | 30 minutes |
lc-theme | This site | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the site | Until you clear it |
None of these follow you to other websites and none of them are used for advertising. The security cookie is required for the page to be served at all, and the rest measure our own site only, so the site runs without a consent banner. You can still delete or block them in your browser settings; blocking them does not stop you reading the site or sending an enquiry.
Product videos sit behind a click-to-load player. Until you press play, no request goes to YouTube and no YouTube cookie is set. Once you press play, Google's privacy terms apply to that video.
5. Who we share data with
We keep the list short and specific. These are the only parties that see your data:
- Alibaba Cloud — hosting provider. Stores the website and the enquiry database on servers in Germany.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — content delivery and bot protection in front of the site. Sees the request, your IP address and user-agent, and sets its security cookie.
- Our email service provider — delivers enquiry notifications to our sales inbox and stores those messages.
- Professional advisers — accountants, auditors and lawyers, where a specific matter requires it, under a duty of confidentiality.
- Authorities — where the law obliges us to hand data over, or where it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim.
Each of them acts on our instructions as a processor or under a legal duty, and each is bound by a data processing agreement where the law requires one. We do not sell personal data, and we do not pass it to advertising networks, data brokers or list resellers.
6. Where your data is stored
Enquiries and visit records are stored on servers located in Germany. Requests to the site pass through Cloudflare's global network, which is operated by a US company; that transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where required, by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Our sales and engineering staff work from China and reach the enquiry database to answer you. That access is internal to our own company and is governed by this policy and by confidentiality obligations in our employment contracts. We do not transfer your data to any other country for storage.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to do any of the following, free of charge:
- Access — a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct anything that is wrong or incomplete.
- Erasure — delete your data where we no longer need it, or where you withdraw consent.
- Restriction — pause our use of your data while a question about it is being resolved.
- Objection — stop processing based on our legitimate interest, including the visit records described in section 2.2.
- Portability — receive the data you gave us in a structured, machine-readable file.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, for anything we do on the basis of consent.
Write to info@lowcarbonlux.com and say what you want. We answer within one month and we may ask one clarifying question to make sure we are deleting the right records. If we cannot do what you asked, we tell you why and point you to the remedy.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority — either the one in your own country, or the authority of the German federal state where our servers are located. We would rather you came to us first, but the choice is yours.
8. How we protect your data
The site is served over HTTPS only. The enquiry database sits outside the public web root and is reachable only from the server itself, not by URL. Database access is limited to the sales and engineering staff who answer enquiries, each with their own account. We keep daily backups and delete them on the same schedule as live data.
If a breach puts your data at risk, we notify the competent authority within 72 hours and tell you directly where the law requires it.
9. Automated decisions, children, changes
We make no automated decisions about you and carry out no profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. The visit records are aggregated by our sales team to understand interest; a person reads them.
This site sells to businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly hold data about anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us an enquiry, tell us and we will delete it.
We update this policy when our processing changes — a new tool, a new retention period, a new processor. The date at the top of the page changes with it, and the current version is always the one published here.
