LED Lighting Manufacturer FAQ

This page collects the questions buyers ask before a first order: whether we are a real factory, what the MOQ is, how samples and production run, how payment and delivery work, which certificates come with a shipment and what the five-year warranty covers. The answers below are the same ones our sales team gives on a call. Commercial conditions are also written into our terms of use, so a quotation and this page never tell you different stories.

Company and factory

We are a factory. Low Carbon Teclux has built LED luminaires in China since 2010, and production now runs from our own base in Zhongshan, Guangdong, on five lines covering track, linear, downlight, industrial and outdoor ranges. Buyers work with the engineering, production and sales team directly, so a specification change does not pass through a middleman. Factory details and the milestone history are on the company profile.

Most of our volume goes to the main European markets, with regular projects in the Middle East, South America and Japan, and steady supply to Australia. More than 200 customers in Europe and Australia buy from us factory-direct, and we keep the declarations and test reports each of those markets asks for.

Yes, by appointment. The plant is in Henglan Town, Zhongshan. A visit normally covers the production lines and the aging test area, followed by a review of your project with an engineer. Send the dates and the models you want to see, and we will have samples and the right people ready. Address and phone numbers are on the contact page.

Products and selection

Six ranges: LED track lights, LED linear lights, LED downlights, industrial tri-proof and high-bay fixtures, LED neon flex, and outdoor luminaires such as bollards and garden lights. Each range has its own catalogue and datasheet. The LED track lights page is a good place to see how we publish wattage, beam angle, CRI and dimming data.

Send the layout, ceiling height, target lux, beam angle, CCT, CRI and dimming requirement. Our engineers run a DIALux simulation and come back with a fixture count and a model list, not just a price. If you need a first estimate before drawings exist, the lighting calculator applies the same lumen method we use in the simulation.

Yes, for standard products. The photometric files work in DIALux, Relux and other lighting design software. If your project needs a specific model, CCT or beam angle that is not published, we test it and send the file in about 2–3 working days. Catalogues and datasheets sit in the download library.

OEM, ODM and custom work

Both. OEM covers housing colour, CCT, wattage, beam angle, CRI, logo and packaging on our existing platforms. ODM starts earlier: structure, optics, tooling, sampling, testing and mass production. One team handles engineering, manufacturing and sales, so a change is decided in one room instead of being forwarded between departments.

Yes. We develop the product and the tooling around your requirements, and the supply agreement can include an exclusive sales territory and a product protection period. Scope, tooling ownership and duration are written into the quotation before work starts, not agreed verbally later.

Yes. Selected series ship as SKD or as components for local assembly, which suits distributors and assemblers who keep stock or want to control the final assembly step. Tell us which stage you want to take over — housing, module, driver or full kit — and we will quote that configuration.

Yes — logo, product labels, manuals, cartons and barcode labels as part of an OEM order. Packaging is quoted with the project, and the minimum quantity depends on the pack, so it is agreed before production rather than assumed.

MOQ, samples and lead time

Standard products have no minimum order quantity. Custom products — a new housing colour, optics, tooling or packaging — are quoted case by case, because the minimum depends on development difficulty and cost. The number on your quotation is the one that applies; nothing here overrides it.

Yes, from one piece. Whether a sample is charged depends on the model and its value: low-value samples can be free, and where a charge applies it is credited against the first production order for the same model when the quotation says so. Sample lead time is about 7 working days.

Within one working day, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Include the model, quantity, target market and any specification you have already fixed. An incomplete request takes longer because we have to come back with questions before we can price it.

Samples take about 7 working days. Standard bulk orders run 15–25 working days. Custom work, or an order placed in the peak season before a trade fair, can take 25–35 days. The clock starts when the deposit and the artwork or pre-production sample are approved.

Payment, delivery and freight

T/T bank transfer and Western Union. The standard term is 30% deposit with the balance before shipment; credit terms apply only when the quotation states them. The full commercial conditions are in our terms of use.

EXW, FOB or CIF under Incoterms 2020, as stated on the quotation. For staged projects we can ship partial consignments, and each consignment is invoiced separately so your store rollout can be paid for in phases.

You do, unless the quotation includes freight. We supply the commercial invoice, packing list, declarations and test reports your broker needs. If you want us to quote freight to your warehouse, send the address and the Incoterm you prefer.

Certification and compliance

CE (EMC and LVD), FCC, RoHS and an ISO9001 quality system. For projects that need SAA for Australia or PSE for Japan, certification is arranged per order. If a certificate has to be issued in your company name, we support the application with samples, test data and factory documents.

We provide the technical documentation — test reports, datasheets and light-source data — that your importer needs to register the product in EPREL. The EPREL registration guide explains which products need a record and which do not.

Yes, on request. Where we quote a standard — CE, RoHS, IP rating or ERP — the certificate or test report for your configuration is available. The binding figures are the ones in the datasheet and the quotation, not the indicative values on the website.

Warranty and after-sales

Five years from delivery against manufacturing defects, within the rated electrical and thermal conditions of the datasheet. We repair, replace or credit at our choice. Installation or wiring faults, use outside the rated voltage, temperature or IP conditions, unauthorised modification, transit damage after risk passes, force majeure and normal lumen depreciation within the declared curve are not covered.

Spare drivers are supplied with large bulk orders, with the quantity agreed in the order. Smaller orders can add spares as a line item. Tell us the failure rate you plan for and we will size the kit instead of guessing a percentage.

Send the model, batch code, invoice number, a photograph of the fault and the installation conditions. We confirm the cause and the remedy in writing, normally within one working day. Return freight is yours unless we confirm the defect; replacement freight is ours.

Yes. Send the drawings and the target lux and we will run the layout in DIALux, propose fixtures and issue IES files for your designer. It is the same engineering step that runs before tooling on an OEM project, so the lighting design and the product stay consistent.

Still have questions?

Email info@lowcarbonlux.com or use the form below. Tell us the model, quantity and market, and you will get an answer within one working day. If your question is about a product detail, the datasheet on the product page is the fastest source; if it is about an order already placed, include the invoice number so we can pull the batch record.
