MINI-D Pinhole Recessed Spotlight

MINI-D series · 10-15W · 100lm/W · Ra90 · 24/36° pinhole

The MINI-D is a 10-15W pinhole recessed COB spotlight Ra90 for hotels covering 10W to 15W (1000lm to 1500lm) at 100lm/W with a COB source plus 25/32mm black-hole lens in small-aperture 24°/36° beams at CRI Ra90 — two housings share a small pinhole aperture with a flush trim (75/95mm cutouts).

This pinhole spotlight drops tight accent pools straight down from a near-invisible small aperture over bedside tables, restaurant counters and boutique displays where the layout never changes. It works as the fixed accent layer in a retail lighting solution with track and linear lights, while IRIS-R tiltable recessed downlight stays the re-aimable alternative for moving displays.

  • 2 pinhole housings, 10/15W, 1000/1500lm at 100lm/W
  • COB 25/32mm black-hole lens, small-aperture 24°/36° beams at Ra90
  • Small pinhole aperture, flush trim, deep anti-glare cup
  • 3000/4000/6000K, sand-textured white/black trims

100lm/W pinhole accent spotlight for hotels

The 10-15W pinhole recessed COB spotlight Ra90 for hotels pairs a fixed COB platform with a deep anti-glare cup and two sand-textured trims. Two pinhole apertures share one quiet face language, so hotels light bedheads, tables and corridors without breaking the ceiling. Available in 3000/4000/6000K with sand white/black trims.

Pinhole Aperture, Quiet Focus

Small hole, light without glare

The COB sits deep behind a small pinhole aperture (25/32mm black-hole lens) inside a flush trim ring — guests see the pool, not the source. The large white reflector stays quiet while the pinhole does the focusing, so finished hotel ceilings keep a calm, undisturbed plane with no glare in the eye line.

  • Ø85xH65mm, pinhole 25mm lens: 10W head for bedheads, niches and café tables
  • Ø105xH73mm, pinhole 32mm lens: 15W head for corridors, lobbies and counters
  • Deep regressed pinhole: high cutoff angle keeps glare out of the eye line
  • Spring-clip fix: retrofit into plasterboard with no extra frame

Small-Angle 24/36° Pinhole Pools

25/32mm black-hole lens, small aperture

The 25/32mm black-hole lens in small-aperture 24°/36° beams pairs with CRI Ra90 at 100lm/W — 24° punches bedside tables and jewelry cases, 36° washes corridor floors and counter fronts. Pinhole aim never drifts, so rows of pools stay even with no re-aiming visits.

  • 24° beam: tight pools for tables, cases and feature goods
  • 36° beam: broader pools for corridors, aisles and counter fronts
  • Ra90 at 100lm/W: true color on fabrics, food and skin tones
  • Pinhole aim: set once at install, no knuckles to loosen after cleaning

Deep Recess, See Light Not Fixture

Anti-glare pinhole that blends into the ceiling

The large white reflector blends into the ceiling while the small black hole does the work — deep regressed pinhole with a high cutoff angle keeps the source out of sight, so rooms see the pool, not the fixture. Light appears from within, not on the surface: precise, invisible and undisturbed.

  • See light, not lamp: pinhole aperture hides the COB, large reflector reads as ceiling
  • High cutoff anti-glare: deep recess shields the eye line in guestrooms and restaurants
  • Blends into the ceiling: flush trim in sand white/black merges with the plane
  • Quiet focus: small hole, tight 24/36° pool — precise without disturbing the space

Why MINI-D for Hotels

Pinhole pools where the ceiling must stay quiet

Pinhole Pools for Set-and-Forget Layouts

Bedheads, tables and corridors keep the same layout for years — they need even pinhole pools, not re-aiming. MINI-D answers with two pinhole housings: narrow 24° beams punch tables and cases while 36° beams wash corridor floors, all at 100lm/W and CRI Ra90. Plan the ceiling as part of a complete recessed and surface downlight family where MINI-D holds the pinhole accent zones.

Pinhole versus aimable — pick by whether displays move — for set-and-forget bedheads, tables and corridors choose MINI-D with its flush small-aperture build; if seasonal displays need re-aiming, see the IRIS-R tiltable recessed downlight with 90° aiming instead. Where the brief calls for soft general fill rather than accent pools, the GLOW-D fixed comfort downlight covers the same ceilings with wide wash light.

Good to know before you order: MINI-D pinhole heads aim straight down and never tilt, so washing wall art and following moved displays belong to the aimable IRIS-R instead. Mark each pool on the ceiling plan before cutting — small-aperture 24/36° beams forgive no misplaced hole. Treat the spotlight as the accent layer over tables and corridors rather than the only source, and keep it to dry indoor ceilings (IP20).

FAQ

Quick answers about the MINI-D family

Match the hole to the zone — one head per pool keeps ceilings quiet.

  • pinhole 25mm lens (10W, 1000lm) for bedheads, niches and café tables.
  • pinhole 32mm lens (15W, 1500lm) for corridors, lobbies and counter fronts.
  • Both share one trim face language from the LED downlight family index, so mixed floors read as one system.

Cut the hole only after marking each pool on the ceiling plan — fixed beams forgive no misplaced hole.

Pick the beam by target size — both housings run both beams.

  • 24° for bedside tables, jewelry cases and small feature goods.
  • 36° for corridor floors, aisles and counter fronts.
  • Pinhole beams never drift, so MINI-D suits set-and-forget rows that re-aimable heads would only complicate.

Where wall art needs washing from above, the aimable heads do that job instead.

Pick white by mood — all five hold CRI Ra90.

  • 2700/3000K warm white for suites, restaurants and boutique mood.
  • 3500/4000K neutral white for corridors, lobbies and galleries.
  • 5700K cool white for high commercial halls and task zones.

Mixed floors keep one trim look while each zone gets its own white at 100lm/W.

Choose fixed for set zones, tiltable for moving displays.

  • MINI-D wins when bedheads, tables and corridors never move and pools must stay even.
  • IRIS-R wins when displays rotate seasonally and heads must swing to follow.
  • Both share Ra90 recessed accent from the same downlight idea.

Most hotel corridors never leave the straight-down cone — see the IRIS-R recessed downlight only when re-aiming is the brief.

Choose accent pools for features, wide wash for background.

  • MINI-D 24/36° draws defined pools over tables, cases and walkways.
  • GLOW-D spreads soft comfort light for lobbies and general fill.
  • Real hotel ceilings layer both — accent over features, wash for background.

As the only source in a large room, MINI-D leaves dark edges — pair it with the GLOW-D comfort downlight for even rooms.

Know four boundaries and the head never disappoints.

  • Pinhole straight-down aim — no good for wall art, and displays that move often need the aimable IRIS-R.
  • Needs a set layout — mark every pool before cutting, misplaced holes cannot be re-aimed away.
  • Accent layer, not the only source — small beams leave dark edges, so pair it with wash light for even rooms.
  • Dry indoor only — IP20 keeps it to guestrooms, eateries and shops, never wet zones or outdoors.

Order MINI-D for set zones with finished ceilings, and it holds those pools for years.
